CUSTOM ANALYSIS AND REPORTS

Some of our clients only want the raw data from their scanned forms and their own staff perform the statistical analysis.  The majority of our projects, though, go beyond the data collection,  analyze the data, and report on the analysis.
An idea of some of the projects is given in the following paragraphs.  You can view several sample reports that might give you an idea of how your own data can be presented.  Also, if you can use one of these pre-developed reports, your cost for report generation will be less than if we have to develop the report from scratch.

Most of Infoscan's work involves scanning and analyzing surveys and questionnaires for non-profit associations, primarily professional associations.  These associations are required by their certifying authorities to provide feedback from membership on the meetings and speakers.  They do this with surveys filled out by attendees.  Infoscan's reports mimic the surveys themselves with added columns of statistical information.

Another part of Infoscan's work is scoring and reporting on certification tests.  Infoscan receives the answersheets, scans them, reviewing them manually to insure accuracy, and, where appropriate, fixing mismarks such as erasures, smudges, omissions, and so forth.  Then the tests are scored according to some key.  Reports are produced including rosters of candidates with their scores, pass/fail indications, statistics of the group, performance in sub-content areas, item analysis, and possibly printing certificates.

Continuing Education credits are often given for session attendance at annual meetings.  The reporting requirements go beyond session reports, however, and involve production of rosters and generation of letters or certificates showing sessions attended and contact hours earned.  It also requires generation of a database file that can be used to update the client's membership database records with the CE information.  This area, like testing, requires not only scanning of the forms containing the session attendance information but careful subsequent manual review of forms to assure accurate results.  We carry out such CE reporting projects each year for several large professional associations.

Infoscan has conducted scholarship application projects for several clients.  These have used a Web application to collect pertinent data and to do a preliminary ranking of the applicants.  The Web site has a management page for the client to track receipts in real-time and to generate statistical reports.  At the end of the application period, the top applicants are selected and turned over to a panel of judges who make the final scholarship selections.  The Web application handles e-mail messages to all applicants such as reminders, announcements of semi-finalists, requests for supplemental material (transcripts, references), and announcements of winners.  It also produces rosters and summarized applications for use by the judges.

We occasionally run votes for associations, typically elections of Officers and Board of Directors.  A Web site is used to display the candidate resumes and pictures and a ballot is available for voting.  Login to the site is linked with a current membership database and only one vote is accepted from each member.

Many other projects have been carried out, including dues notice questionnaires, membership questionnaires, teleconference evaluations, and membership and chapter needs analyses.  Let us know what your data collection needs are and we can prepare the appropriate scannable form or Web form to satisfy those needs.

Finally, it is often important to report results quickly and the web provides the ideal medium for that.  Infoscan can set up a web site for you that has the following capabilities:

  • Allows candidates/members to access their test results and certification status within a few days of taking a test
  • Allows you to review new scoring results to approve them for release
  • Allows instructors to view their evaluations
  • Allows Infoscan to upload scoring, analysis, and evaluation  results
  • The site is protected with an SSL certificate and users can only view that information to which they have rights.
